Anyone can set up a Sdn Bhd in Malaysia provided they and the company, fulfill the following requirements:
A minimum paid-up capital of RM1
A minimum of one (1) subscriber to the share(s) of the company
A minimum of one director who are at least 18 years of age and are residing in Malaysia. He/she is not a bankrupt and has not been convicted and imprisoned for a period of past 5 years
A minimum of one Company Secretary (who is a member of any one of the prescribed professional bodies or licensed by the SSM) - that's us!

Based on our experience, the process of incorporation of a Sdn Bhd takes approximately 3 to 5 working days. The speed at which a company can be incorporated is subject to SSM's decision to approve the application, although we have numerous applications which were even approved in just 1 day!
